Abstract: NLP [neuro linguistic programming] is an experiential constructivist therapy because the emphasis of the therapy is towards understanding the process by which a person understands his world, rather than the content of his understanding / the strong linguistic emphasis of NLP is one of the reasons why this methodology compliments the psycholinguistic framework that speech and language therapists are already using in their work with schizophrenic patients (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2005 APA, all rights reserved).
