Stanton H E: Using rapid change techniques to improve sporting performance.
Australian Journal of Clinical & Experimental Hypnosis 17(2): 153-161., 1989.
Abstract: Suggests that brief therapeutic interventions can produce successful outcomes; in particular, neurolinguistic programming (NLP) can achieve considerable success with single session interventions. Three rapid change techniques (ego-state reframing, changing personal history, and symptom prescription) are described. Case studies are used to illustrate how each of these has been used to facilitate improved sporting performance. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2005 APA, all rights reserved).
