Shorer-Zeltser M, Ben-Israel Fixler G M: Applications of Content and NLP Techniques Analyses on Religious Internet Content.
International Journal of Knowledge, Culture and Change Management 8(9): 13-26, 2008.
Abstract: Religious content has several characteristics that grant it an advantage in mobilization for terrorist actions including: (a) a-priori concurrence (rapport) from its readers; (b) building new universe of significance; and, (c) direct, impulsive and emotional connection with its audience. Additionally, the synchronization of messages and the detachment from physical reality intensify and magnify the effects of Internet religious discourse. For that reason, religious content can become one of the strongest, cheapest, and the most effective tools for terrorists striving to enlarge their circle of supporters. This article presents methodological issues that should be considered when analyzing religious Internet content using content analysis techniques. We also consider the potential affect of religious Internet content through the lens of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques.
