Abstract: This article describes the use of a Neuro Linguistic Program (NLP) in an antismoking campaign and studies how successful this campaign was according to secondary school students. This campaign was carried out in a small town in northern Finland as an intensive three-day-long campaign. The data consisted of the essays and interviews of those secondary school students (N = 61) who participated in the NLP education. The data were analyzed by a phenomenographic method. The campaign was considered powerful and its connections with various associative systems varied. The aim of this article is to contribute new possibilities to carry on antismoking campaigns as well as to introduce various uses of the NLP method.
